What's going on and what's to come for Sandbox?

Delta Sandbox had a busy time at the Refresh Conference 2023, hosting a booth and offering various empathy-building design exercises to booth visitors. In addition, we hosted a workshop in Sandbox itself for around half hundred conference-goers on Friday morning. All in all, a successful way to teach everyone what Sandbox is all about.

If you want to read more, then this edition of Universitas Tartuensis (the official University fo Tartu magazine) did a spotlight feature on Delta Sandbox in their first edition of 2023. Read the article in question (in Estonian) here.

We are always looking for partners to give real-world issues to our students to work with and to provide prototypes back to partner companies. Do not hesitate to contact us!

On a final note, be sure to save the date March 8th! We will be holding another Sandbox Toolbox event then. Stay up to date by following our socials (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn).

Professor Jaak Vilo nominated as rector candidate by the Faculty of Science and Technology

At the Council of the Faculty of Science and Technology meeting on 9 February, Professor Jaak Vilo was nominated as the candidate for Rector of the University of Tartu.

"The rector is responsible for leading the university and helping it develop and operate as smoothly as possible, based on academic values. However, in the larger picture, it is important that good people come to study and work at the university, bringing new ideas and energy. The university also deserves greater recognition. The relationship of research to education, business and national development is obvious but perhaps complex to explain, so it needs to be better explained to society. This will also ensure that the university's role is valued," says Vilo.

The electoral council will elect the new Rector of the University of Tartu on 20 April 2023.
