Cyber Innovation Conference "Küberinnovatsioon 2023 Tartu"
 
 
 
 

Sign up for the Cyber Innovation Conference on 14 June The "Cyber Innovation 2023 Tartu" conference will take place in the Delta Study and Research Building on 14 June. This time speakers will discuss cyber innovation in society and the industry. The future makers of cyber innovation will also take the stage. The event is in Estonian.

 

The University of Tartu Computer Museum is open to all visitors during the conference. You can get acquainted with the IT Student Project Contest posters and look around in Delta. The conference ends with an evening program in the Gutenberg Hall of the Aparaaditehas, organised by Guardtime.

 

Early bird tickets are available until midnight, June 8th.

The Institute of Computer Science will offer the following microdegrees in the coming autumn of the 2023/24 academic year:

The first UniTartuCS Podcast now available for listening
 
 
 
 

UniTartuCS has launched it's series of podcasts that talk about our people, both active and alumni. In the first inaugural episode, we sat down and ahad a chat with Dmytro Fishman, Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence. Amongst other things, we talked about  and congratulated him on receiving the Young IT Scientist Award from the President of Estonia.

On 1 June, a poster session was held in Delta, during which the jury of the Institute of Computer Science selected this year's best student projects.

  • I place in Bachelor’s first-year level: Genekas - TÜ tunniplaani generaator - Johan Kirikal, Daglas Aitsen.    
  • I place in Bachelor’s level: Plants disease - Aleksandr Makarov, Nika Mikhailava.
  • I place in Master’s level: SwinIA: Self-Supervised Blind-Spot Image Denoising without Convolutions - Pavel Chizhov.

E-course of the year is “How Artificial Intelligence Can Support Healthcare”
 
 
 
 

The title of the e-course of the year 2023 went to the e-course “How Artificial Intelligence Can Support Healthcare”, created in cooperation of the University of Tartu Institute of Computer Science, the University of Groningen, the University of Copenhagen and the University Hospital Cologne. 

 

The authors of the course are Elena Sügis, Peter Van Ooijen, Daniel Pintos Dos Santos, Rosa Verhoeven and Michael Peter. Our congratulations to Elena and others!
