Rewatch the last Data Science Seminar on 28 November and save the date for 24 January

On 28 November, we hosted a Data Science Seminar on the subject of Smart Sustainable Mobility and Communities. The recording and gallery of the seminar are now available!

Be sure to save the date for the next Data Sciene Seminar taking place on 24 January as part of sTARTUp Day. The seminar will be organised by Jaan Aru, Associate Professor of Neuroscience and Artificial Intelligence at the Institute of Computer Science.

Registration is open for the Delta Career Day 2024

On 28 February, for the sixth time, the Delta Career Day will bring together companies, institutions, and students from the University of Tartu. On that day, the university's sports club becomes an exciting meeting place for employers and students of IT, mathematics, statistics, robotics, electronics, computer engineering and economics. 

Companies and institutions are welcome to register to the event until 29 January.

Call for companies and organisations to join the Industrial Master's Programme and Sandbox

We are offering an ideal opportunity for companies and organisations to show our Master’s students what awaits them in the job market. Our collaboration projects, Industrial Master’s Programme in IT and Sandbox, are seeking partners for the next batch of students to work with. The deadlines to show your interest are:

• Industrial Master’s Programme in IT 10 January;
• Sandbox 15 January

Mathematics, Statistics and IT Alumni Day is happening again!

Attention all graduates in Mathematics, Statistics and IT! On 16 March, the Saturday after Pi-day, you are invited to Delta Study and Research Building for the Alumni Day. Groups from the same graduating year are invited to contact each other and plan their meeting. If you would like to contribute to the programme, please email us at matinf.alumni.org@lists.ut.ee.

Rewatch the inauguration lecture “How to attract more girls to IT?” by Piret Luik

As part of her inauguration lecture, Professor of Didactics of Informatics of the University of Tartu Piret Luik discusses how to increase the percentage of women among computer science students. The lecture was in Estonian.
